The MYSTIQUE KREWE OF VICTORIA PARK will be hosting an inaugural informational gathering on Tuesday, April 22 at 6 p.m. at the Village Café. The Krewe will celebrate the season of carnival, which begins annually on January 6, the Twelfth Night, and ends at midnight on Fat Tuesday. Year round activities will be held to form a harmonious camaraderie among the members. The culmination of the celebration of Mardi Gras will be a ball held in Victoria Park. Come join us! Refreshments will be served.

COMMUNITY WIDE YARD SALE! Saturday, May 3, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will be advertising in two local newspapers! You may use balloons, flags or small signs to indicate that your home is open for sales! Please contain your yard sale items to your garage, driveway or yard. Please do not set up on sidewalks, parking spaces or in the road. Additionally, the Community Yard Sale is for selling gently used items. Multiple quantities of new items with tags, in packages, etc., are not permitted. Please register your home by April 29 by calling 386.738.2112. RAIN OR SHINE!

COMMUNITY YARD SALE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION! At the conclusion of the Community Yard Sale at 2 p.m., House of Hope & Restoration will be bringing three trailers through neighborhoods in Victoria Park and Victoria Gardens to collect any items you wish to donate from the yard sale. They will pick up all items that are clean and in working condition. Please place your donated items at the end of your driveway at 2 p.m. House of Hope & Restoration is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization and their main goal is to improve the quality of life for families that need a helping hand.

The Victoria Park Community Council will be hosting its 2ND ANNUAL KIDS' TRIATHLON on Saturday, May 10. This race will be for kids aged 3 to 13 and will be around the beautiful neighborhood in Victoria Commons. This event is a non-competitive triathlon that is meant to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle. There will be multiple distance options for children to sign up for based on age and ability level. All participants will receive an awesome race t-shirt and finisher's medal. As Freedom Elementary School is the zoned elementary school for Victoria Park children, Victoria Park is on the race route for the INAUGURAL FREEDOM 5k. The 5k run is being held to raise money for much needed technology for Freedom Elementary classrooms. The run will start promptly at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 19. For residents living in Victoria Trails, please click here for the route. The route will include soft road closures with cones and residents may experience temporary delays in entering or exiting the Trails. Please use caution the morning of the race. RELAY FOR LIFE® OF GREATER DELAND will kick-off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 25 at DeLand Middle School. The Victoria Park Community is encouraged to attend to help support the Victoria Gardens and Victoria Park teams. This is a free fun-filled family/community event with food, games, prizes and live music! Cancer survivors are welcome to come at 6 p.m. and register for the survivor dinner and ceremony! REMINDER! VIAL OF LIFE PROGRAM: The Victoria Park CERT team, in cooperation with the Volusia County Sheriff's Department, is making FREE Vial of Life containers and instructions available to Victoria Park residents again this year. The Vial of Life Program is designed to provide emergency service personnel with time-saving medical information if their services are ever needed. The program is beneficial to persons of all ages. You may pick up your free Vial at the Gardens Clubhouse or the Community Management Office on Taylor Road.

If you already have a Vial of Life, please be sure to check the information on the form inside to be sure that it is accurate.
